Ah yes! This place brings back some memories. When I was dating my wife back in the day, she told me she loved going here. I asked her what she liked and told me the pastries and soups. Man, she was right! I love their pastries, especially the way they are displayed. It makes you want everything! I always for that cheese cake brownie thingy. As for the soups, I enjoy their tomato basil one. It's very comforting. I recently went to the one at Victoria Gardens, but the one I originally went to with my now wife is the one in Burbank. Great place with great food and service. Stop by when you can! See you there!
Yesterday I went to corner bakery with family. It was really busy, my family and I were able to get a table pretty fast. The line moved relatively fast. I was greeted by and kind sweet man with a really cool British accent. He took my order promptly. Notified me that my order would be out soon. I think my overall impression is that when the people of the establishment treat you kindly it makes the whole experience ten times better. The manager was super sweet. He took our dishes when we were done and asked us how everything was. Super sweet and kind. Our server was amazing too. She made sure our order was perfect and was going to fight tooth and nail to make sure it was right. I saw the server/cashier pick someone's jacket of the ground and kindly fix it for them. That was such a kind gesture. You can tell everyone that works here genuinely is trying to make everyone have a great experience. It wasn't just one person, it was all three of them. Thank you Ali, Gloria, and Joe for the kindness and amazing hospitality you showed. The food was amazing and came out so quick. You guys were amazing. And the oatmeal I got looked so pretty. It was very hearty and kept me full for the majority of the day :)
Chilly evening and decided to stop by for a bowl of soup and a bite. This location is great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food comes hot and tasty. Tables are clean plenty of room. Enjoyed a bowl of broccoli cheddar and half of a sandwich tuna
I used to go to my local CB all the time when I was in high school and ventured out after that. But now that I'm pregnant and I attend a run club in this area on Wednesdays, it's been calling my name. I've gone three times in the past two months and the food has always been great. Literally just like I remember it lol. Prices have gone up, but that's not a Corner Bakery problem, it's a country problem. Had especially great service last night with Jessika. We appreciated the attention and kindness. I'll definitely be coming back again.
